Requirements

  • Admitted are Bachelors of Science in the Life Sciences, e.g Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Bioengineering, Zoology, Veterinary Medicine, etc. A minimum of 180 ECTS or credits corresponding to a minimum of 3 years of Bachelor of Science study are required:

    • the Bachelor programme must have contained a minimum of 6 ECTS of Cell Biology, Biology and/or Animal Morphology;
    • students in their last year of such a Bachelor programme may also apply.

  • A good command of English, both spoken and written is necessary:

    • all non-native speakers are required to submit an English proficiency test result or proof that English was their language of instruction. CEFR level B2 or IELTS (academic version) overall band score of at least 6.5 or a TOEFL score of at least 87 (internet based) are considered sufficient.

  • Starting from the files that prospective students submit, a ranking and possible selection will be made based on the criteria set out below.
  • Students, which are not excluded in the first round, will be interviewed. The subjects questioned will be previously communicated as well as the reference works that potential students can use to prepare.
  • On the basis of the total scores a ranking will be made. The first 25 students will be selected to start the Master programme.
  • The programme is granted the Erasmus Mundus label and thus third country and EU students can benefit from a scholarship.
